Where do my API keys live?
On your Mac, encrypted in the macOS Keychain. Console.app has no backend and no server — your keys go from your device straight to the AI provider, and nowhere else.
Which AI models can I use?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral and Grok today. You bring your own key for whichever you prefer and switch between them per project.
Can I add a tool that isn't in the list?
Yes. Anything with a URL can be added as a tab. If a site blocks being embedded, Console falls back to copying the text to your clipboard so you can paste it in.
Does it work offline / what does it need?
It runs locally on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel). You'll need internet for the AI calls and the embedded web tools, since those live online.
